Position

the latitude and longitude of the location on the world map that the mouse was clicked.

Date

the date is initially set to the current date, but can be adjusted either by typing the date ( months are entered as their numeric value 1 through to 12 ) or by using the Up and Down cursor movement keys to adjust the values and the left and right keys to focus the day, month and year.  If the zone is seasonal, the Active Zone will be adjusted to respect the selected date.

So, for example, if you were to change the Date to 30-Nov-2009 the Active Zone will change to WINTER and the graphic will be updated accordingly.

Length

Where the zone is dependent on the size of the vessel, for example the Pacific Summer Seasonal zone off the East coast of Russia, the appropriate vessel length can be selected from the options in the list.  The Active Zone is updated accordingly.

Graphic

The graphical display of the Plimsol line reflects the Active Zone.

Governing Zone

The full name of the zone and any seasonal variations that may be applicable.

Active Zone

Where applicable, based on the date and vessel length, the Active zone for the selected position.
