Introduction

Welcome

BORIS - SECA Scanner is an application designed to scan a route obtained from our PortToPort software and advise you of the distance within Sulphur Emission Control Areas (SECAs).

If you do not yet have a copy of PortToPort, you can use the included Demonstration routes to review this software.

Knowing the distance steamed within these areas will help you more accurately estimate bunker costs as low sulphur fuels carry a cost premium.

Currently, three SECAs are in force, the North Sea, Baltic and Californian zones.  As and when further areas are implemented, future updates to the software will support them.
