The Map Display tab provides access to controls to customise the appearance of displayed world map, for example to control colours.

 

Ribbon-Map Display

 

Map Group

 

Ocean Colour - set the colour of the oceans on the displayed map.

 

Land Colour - set the colour of the land on the displayed map.

 

Land Border Colour - set the colour of the land borders on the displayed map..

 

Clicking the drop down button for any of these options displays a colour selection dialog.

 

Select Colour

 

Simply clicking on the label text for these options, i.e. click within the 'Ocean Colour' label text region, sets the colour back to the system default.

 

Route Plot Group

 

Leg Width - Adjust the slider right or left to increase or decrease the width of the line displaying the route plotted on the map

 

Waypoint Size - Adjust the slider right or left to increase or decrease the size of the waypoints displayed on the map

 

Transparency - Adjust the slider right or left to increase or decrease how much transparency is applied to the displayed route.

 

Route Colours Group

 

Rhumb Line - selects the colour used to draw a Rhumb line route leg

 

Great Circle - selects the colour used to draw a Great Circle route leg

 

Outer - selects the colour used to draw the outer border of a waypoint marker

 

Inner - selects the colour used to draw the inner area of a waypoint marker

 

Clicking the drop down button for any of these options displays a colour selection dialog, clicking the option label itself, restores the colour to the system default.

 

Behaviour Group

 

Centre on Selected - When Checked, the map will be redisplayed centred on the selected waypoint in the route window.

 

Zoom to route - When Checked, the map will be redisplayed zoomed to the route when a route is loaded.

 

Show Port Names - When Checked, the map will display the names of the ports at the start and end of the route.

 

Show Wpt Info - When Checked, the status bar will display the distance from the start of the route to this waypoint together with the distance to end of the route.

 

Show Major Wpts - When Checked, the Route Window will list only the significant waypoints, i.e. those representing Ports, Routing Points, Pilot Stations or .
