BORIS - SECA Scanner
The purpose of this software is to scan a route and report mileage within Sulphur Emission Control Areas (SECAs). Currently, three SECAs are in force, The North Sea, Baltic and Californian zones.

The software (which requires the .NET Framework to be installed) is currently available as a FREE* add-on to users of our PortToPort software.  Before downloading your copy of the software, please take a moment to review the conditions and requirements.

Routes are obtained from our PortToPort software and imported into the SECA scanning application. The software calculates the distance steamed before a SECA is entered, the distances within each SECA and total distance within and outside the SECA. It clearly displays this information in a text box.  The route is also displayed as a list of waypoints in a table and and graphically on a map, with those parts of the route within a SECA highlighted.

Waypoints are inserted into the route at the entry or exit point of a SECA giving precise distance calculations to that point and within the SECAs.

To see how easy it is to use this software, please take a moment to view a Quick Start Guide, a short demonstration video, or to review the full functionality of the software, take a look at the online version of the help available within the software.
